‘ What is pixel and voxel?’

Pixels are the small boxes in a picture. Each pixel is broken down into RGB. It is the smallest element of any image. Voxels are pixels in a 2D bitmap, volumetric pixel, Voxels are pixels in a 2D bitmap,

Resolution Vs Size of the image

Resolution is the pixel count, whereas image size is the height and width of an image in pixels.

PHOTOSHOP 101

Then we were briefed with the knowledge about Photoshop, Photoshop is vector whereas illustrator was raster. Things differs at basics level such as saving an image, best file format for saving are : TIFF, PNG, PSD.

Photoshop has been used in so many a animated movies such as Spider man into the spider verse. “How Animators Created the Spider-Verse” by wired was shown o us. This video gave us an insight to the level of creativity one can achieve from scratch.

Sir, informed us how to edit an edit and how multiple art boards can be added , resized and moved around. He also showed us the shortcuts for the tools . We then explored the application and discovered how different these both from each other. The selection,and move tool are different.

Sir, taught us wand tool, Quick selection , Move tool, Rectangular Marquee tool are very creative tool and convenient.

The Yellow Space

We were asked to create a collage, using the tools we were taught. I tried creating and combining realistic with virtual images. The brush strokes on the top shows the colors of abstract earthy colors .

Inspiration:

The idea behind this work starts with the color mustard, and how abstract and realism can come together. Graphic rocket and astronaut on a moon with swatches of earthy colors green and blue. It’s inspired by the recent success of ISRO mission accomplishment

This class made us explore our own creativity which , I never knew I had.
